What is dante's inferno game?

Dante's Inferno is a 2010 action-adventure game developed by Visceral Games and published by Electronic Arts. It is loosely based on the ["Inferno" of Dante Alighieri's 14th-century poem, The Divine Comedy.

The game reimagines "Dante Alighieri" as a Templar knight from the Third Crusade, rather than a poet. After returning home to Florence and finding his beloved Beatrice and his family murdered and her soul taken to Hell, Dante follows her into the nine circles of Hell to rescue her from "Lucifer".

The gameplay primarily consists of fast-paced combat against hordes of demonic enemies. Dante wields Death's scythe, which he took after defeating Death at the Gates of Hell, and Beatrice's Holy Cross, which he can use to absolve or punish condemned souls. He also acquires magical abilities and upgrades throughout his journey.

The game's nine circles of Hell are visually and thematically distinct, representing different sins and sinners, which are; "Limbo", "Lust", "Gluttony", "Greed", "Wrath", "Heresy", "Violence", "Fraud", and "Treachery". Dante encounters various historical and mythological figures within these circles.
